The World of Frida Exhibit Debuts at IMAS

The International Museum of Art and Science debuts its newest exhibit, The World of Frida, from March 27, 2021 to August 29, 2021. The exhibit features more than 100 artists from around the world, celebrating the life of visionary painter, Frida Kahlo.

The exhibition includes artwork in a variety of media with Frida Kahlo as the subject, along with art inspired by the life of the iconic painter.

Kahlo’s exploration of culture, identity, gender, class and race in Mexican society continues to inspire artists and audiences alike. Her art has been described as surrealist or magical realist with much of her work having strong autobiographical elements mixed that mixed realism with fantasy. The iconic artist continues to shape popular culture today.
