05 Oct McAllen to Host Inaugural Copa Amistad Soccer Tournament
Premier Soccer Services announces Copa Amistad international youth soccer tournament to start in 2022 in McAllen, TX, in partnership with Visit McAllen, McAllen Chamber of Commerce, and the City of McAllen Parks and Recreation Department.
Premier Soccer Services, the organizer of youth soccer tournaments across the country and the Copa Rayados Internacional in Houston, TX, begins a new international tournament, Copa Amistad, with host city McAllen, TX.
Premier Soccer Services currently hosts international and national tournaments in Kissimmee/ Orlando FL, Chicago IL, Decatur AL, Loudoun County VA/ Washington DC, and The Woodlands/ Houston TX. Estimated Economic Impact to Metro Areas is over $25 million annually.
“After a comprehensive bidding process for host cities, we are pleased to announce the Copa Amistad will be in McAllen, TX starting in 2022 through 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for us as we complete our international series of 3 tournaments: Copa Rayados Internacional over Thanksgiving in The Woodlands/ Houston, Easter International Cup over Easter Week in Kissimmee/ Orlando FL, and now the Copa Amistad during the 1st week of July in McAllen TX.”

Visit McAllen, McAllen Chamber of Commerce, and the City of McAllen Parks and Recreation Department have come together as supporting partners to make the tournament a showcase event for McAllen and the entire Rio Grande Valley.

The Copa Amistad will be a boys tournament for Under 9 to Under 19 teams, July 1-3, 2022. With access to over 25 fields, the potential is for over 200 teams participating from both Mexico and the USA. McAllen Sports Park and Springfest Park will host the tournament matches.
