Built in 1993, expanded, and remodeled in 2015, the terminal’s distinct terrazzo floors, palms, and mesquite tree landscaping spans nearly 138,000 square feet and had 875,899 travelers go above and beyond with them in 2022.

Public Transportation
Metro McAllen
Metro McAllen currently operates seven (9) intracity bus routes and a paratransit bus service for eligible patrons. The bus system hubs out of the downtown terminal facility where passengers can connect to an array of international, national, regional and intracity destinations. The bus service hours of operation are from Monday through Saturday from 6:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. and Sunday 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. For bus stop / route information, please call us at (956) 681-3510.

McAllen B-Cycle
In early 2015, McAllen BCycle introduced bike share to the City of McAllen and our region with 8 stations, 90 bikes. McAllen BCycle is a program under Metro McAllen, that provides many benefits to McAllen residents and visitors and it is one of the best ways to #ExploreMcAllen.
